When did bluetooth become so important?

Bluetooth was introduces by leading moblie phone companies such as Nokia, Ericisson, etc, in 1998 and the amin goal was to define a low-cost, small form factor specification for wireless communication.
Nowadays bluetooth is used on so many different system such as the mobile phone for headsets and sending info from one phone to another, on playstation 3's for all of there accesseries such as controllers, remotes, headsets, etc.
But what i am focusing on is when did it become so important to have bluetooth capibilities on moblie phones, sure its easier for some people when driving using headsets, or for students sending pictures and videos to each other.
But in contrast to that alot of people i know wouldn't be seen wearing bluetooth headsets any more.
So to my surprise today during work in xtravision i was approached by an eldly enough lady looking for a replacement phone, but want to keep her old sim, so we had two sim free phones in stock one for €100, which was to expensive, and one for forty which had no camera, which was no problem, no fm radio, again no problem but when I said that it didn't have bluetooth , big problem, no way was she taking a phone without bluetooth, so then decided to go for the phone for €100 mainly just for the bluetooth.
Need I say more?

Is there a place for religion in modern society?

Is there a place for religion in modern society?
Well the best people to ask that that question would be the hip new band on the scene at the minute called "The Priests", four well known priests from Ireland singing the most popular religious songs, which at the monment is still in the top twenety in the Irish charts.
so to answer the question at hand, I believe that there is a palce for religion in todays society but its the devotion that has changed over the past couple of decades.
Where you to look at three different generations in my family, my grandmother won't miss mass if she was on fire and when i told her about the priests album she said that they were brilliant, my parents go to mass maybe once every two weeks(mostly my mother) and as for myself the last time i was in mass was Easter and the next time will be christmas and thats not because i'm not religous but i'm usually working on Saturday and Sunday.
i delifinatly feel that the church is struggling to reach the younger generation and maybe the these new bands will do the job.......

Na, Na, Na, NAMA

In 2009 a National Asset Management Agency was put into place in order to bail out banks for giving obscene loans, this agency promptly bailed out these banks, today still wanted by wanted by the government, it survives as a policy of fortune, so if your bank has a problem and no other agency can help and if you can understand it, maybe you can hire NAMA.
So in short NAMA will function as a bad bank, acquiring property development loans from Irish banks in return for government bonds, primarily with a view to improving the availability of credit in the Irish economy. The original book value of these loans is €77 billion and the current market value is estimated at €47 billion.
Hopefully this video will best describe Nama.

Bebo to Facebook to MSN to Twitter

It seems just as you are losing interest in a social network site there is an other one there ready and waiting for you to discover.

About five years ago I desided to finally give into the hipe of my mates in school and see what was the big deal with this bebo thing that everyone was joining, after saying that i would never join it and that it was a waste of time, but soon found out what was why it was so addictive, for example talking to people from school that I was in school with just a few hours ago.

But after a while bebo had just became another way of viewing pictures and seeing what other people were up to and less and less communicating with others.

Then I descovered Facebook and when i heard about this i said the same thing as when I heard about bebo "I'll never join" but once I went abroad for a year, I quickly found out how easier it was to communicate with home and soon enough every few hours i was checking facebook, then repeat this process for MSN and then i was using that to much as well.

Even as i write this i have just finished on facebook was tagged in a photo so had to see which one, so with this blog I guess i am showing how addictive social networks are and its not just me, people are losing there jobs in offices because they cann't get of facebook or msn.

So we must ask what is next maybe some social network were you can tell people what your at and where you are, what your going to do etc, oh wait thats this new addictive thing called Twitter, and yes once again I am left saying whats the point and i am never going to join but why should i bother when, if this is the next thing, in a few years facebook will be killed by Twitter just like Facebook killed bebo.

So in short never say never.

when e-sex turns to e-business

It seems that every thing that seems like a new development to us on the internet, stuff like streaming videos, skype, security operations, etc, all are new advances to us, well me anyway, but all of these things have evolved from the online porn industry, so it is no wonder why that it 12% of all websites on the internet are to do with this topic.

But now to see that there is so many people using these sites, for example adult sites have doubled from 2001 to 2005, and that now you could become addicted to these sites like you were addicted to a drug.

To show this the group for people that use these sites on a regular baisis are broken down into three differnet categories.....

1. Recreational - people who view these sites a few hours in the week and doesn't affect there day to day lives and would evenually get bored and stop.

2.Sexually Compulsive - individuals with sexual problems and using these sites as a way of overcoming these problems.

3.At risk - Individuals uses these sites as a way to deal with such things as stress and depressionand would lead to physical and psychological problems.

e-business, life and farmville

Decided to find out what all the fuss is about regarding farmville and i was surprisingly let down, i find it hard to believe that people can get addicted so easy to it, i suppose its what people like. lasted about five minutes on it before gettin bored.
Other developments that happened in todays e-business class was that it seems that we are going to begin our CA .... soon, and became the very first member of the facebook page about the company that i am not allowed to mention on this blog, which begins with an l and sound like sharenosity.
Not much new with myself still working away and playing golf, very dissapointed on sunday where i had two birdie putts and still left the hole with boggies and if i had have gotten them pars i would have had a share of first place. Xtravision is working me to the bone giving plently of hours and sending me to Cavan for the weekend, an hour and a half away from me, so one great weekend ahead.
best of luck
